Simone Inns – Iyengar Yoga Teacher
Involved with yoga since 1994, Simone is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and and is committed to ongoing professional development studies with Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher Caroline Coggins whom is based in Sydney. Simone has also been fortunate to have attended a Retreat with Dr Geeta Iyengar and has also attended workshops and training development with numerous Senior Iyengar Teachers including Simon Marrocco with whom she trained to Intro 2 Level.
Simone opened ’Chevron Island Yoga Centre’ in 2009 with the vision of creating a Yoga Community that offered beneficial and safe Yoga in a fully equipped Centre. The Centre also gives the opportunity for Teachers to study, teach and train in. Simone is also the founder of the popular Iyengar Yoga Retreat based in Cambodia ‘Seim Reap’ and is committed to the support and education of the “The Childrens Ophanage” (outlined in the Retreat Post) and the support of the amazing Cambodian People. Simone also teachers regular Intensives, Pranayama and also specialises in private tuition. The Centre is open for all students that love yoga to come and learn from. Simone has been fortunate enough to teach a wide variety of students including the beginner to advance student, people with disabilities, professional athletes, students with severe back problems and womens health issues. Previous to opening Chevron Island Yoga Centre she owned and operated ‘Yoga in Motion’ which brought Yoga to the Surfing/Sports and Corporate Sector. She also taught regular Courses and Workshops at Tallebudgera, Burleigh and Currumbin. Simone has also completed studies in Social Welfare and A&P level 1 and 2.
Simone follows her passions of Yoga and in particular Iyengar Yoga through the scriptures of Pantanjali’s Eight Fold Path. Using her studies and yoga practice I am inspired to help individuals grow to their full potential. Simone is a certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and is a currently active member and teacher of the Iyengar Association of Australia.
