YOGA IS MY LIFE AND MY LIFE IS YOGA
I went to my first yoga class with my mother and sister when I was about 8 years of age, who it was I have no idea, but what stood out to eight year old, was that he was dressed in a lion cloth and could put his feet behind his head. I now know that yoga is so much more.
Next time I found myself in a yoga class was in 1995. I was going through a hard time in my life and those few minutes of peace at the end of the class (Savasana) was the only time I could relax for the week. I was hook and over a 5 year period I become more and more devoted and the once week class was everyday practice.

So in 2000 I decide to take some time out study to become yoga teacher. I sold my hair solon at Mermaid Beach and relocate to Byron Bay where I could immerse myself in yoga and do my teacher training and this also allowed me to study with many of the most well known teachers of today.
At this time there was no yoga magazines available or very little information about yoga and I inspire my good friends to start Australia Yoga Journal, Australians first yoga magazine in 2001 and I was on the first cover and have since feature in articles.

In 2005 I had move back to the Gold Coast and deiced to open Essence of Living Yoga and Pilates Studio where I taught for 5 years as a senior yoga teacher.I have just taken two years off as I broke my ankle. With extra weight on and ankle that was as stiff as stiff I was back to doing beginners classes and modification in classes and I love it. I’m now back to full recovery and have decide to teach on Tuesday night class at 6, I will be teaching a class that is open to all levels offering. The class will be blend off different teachings, techniques and ideals. As much as possible different levels will be given so you can adapt it to suit you.
